Most of us are only a step or two from the farm. Whether you're a REALTOR® with a client, or you know a relative, neighbour or friend thinking about selling or buying land, we'd love the introduction.
Who can refer
Anyone with a connection to the land
Clients, friends, family and neighbours
A parent retiring off the farm, a neighbour whose kids have moved away, a friend who inherited a few quarters. Pass along their name and we'll take good care of them. The same goes for accountants, lawyers, bankers and others who work with farm families.
Saskatchewan's real estate rules don't allow us to pay commission to anyone who isn't licensed, but we never forget who sent someone our way. When someone trusts us with an introduction, we show our appreciation with a meaningful thank-you gift.
REALTORS®
Refer a client with land to sell or buy. You keep the client and the house in town, and we pay you 25% of our commission through your brokerage at closing.

A farmland partner for your farm clients
Farm clients come up in residential practices more often than you'd think. Send the land our way, keep the client and the house, and earn a referral fee when it closes.
How the referral fee works
| Seller referrals | 25% of our listing-side commission, whether or not we also represent the buyer. |

| Protection | 12 months from the date you refer. If your client signs with us in that window, you're paid when it closes. |
| Letters of Opinion | No fee on the letter itself. If that client lists or buys with us within the window, the full fee applies. |
| Who's eligible | Licensed real estate registrants at any brokerage, under a signed referral agreement. Paid brokerage-to-brokerage, or within Boyes Group Realty, with your usual split. |

Selling the farm and buying in town? The town purchase and any home sale stay with you. We'll send them straight back.
You stay in the loop
We update you when we meet your client, when we list, when an offer comes in and when it closes.
We don't market to them
No mailing lists, no pitches. We work on the land deal you referred, and nothing else.
We send business back
We stick to farmland, so every year we pass along residential referrals. Agents who trust us with their farm clients are the first people we think of.
FAQ
Common questions
I'm not a REALTOR®. Can I still refer someone?
Yes, please. Send their name and how to reach them, and let them know we'll call. Saskatchewan's real estate rules don't let us pay commission to anyone who isn't licensed, but we'll take good care of them, and we'll thank you with a gift.
Do I have to do anything after I refer?
No. Send the referral and we'll take it from there. You're welcome to join the first meeting if the person would like that.
Is the person's information kept private?
Yes. We contact only the person you refer, about the land they're thinking of selling or buying, and we don't add them to any mailing list.
Do you sell houses in town?
No, we stick to farmland. If someone you refer also needs a house, that goes back to their REALTOR®, or we'll connect them with a residential agent we trust.
My client has a house and land. Who handles what?
You handle the house; we handle the land. If both sell together, we'll work out the split with you before anything is signed.
What if the deal takes a year or two?
A REALTOR® referral is protected for 12 months from the day you send it.
What if my client doesn't list or buy?
Then there's no fee, but we'll still let you know how it ended.
I'm not at Boyes. Can I still refer?
Yes. Any licensed REALTOR® can refer, and the fee is paid brokerage-to-brokerage.
